This is one of my favourites.
Made using traditional techniques dating back to the Edo period, this copper grater was handcrafted to ensure the cleanest grate every time. A sheet of copper is first pounded with a hammer to strengthen the metal before being cut by hand. After coating it in tin, each grating tooth is cut and raised one by one. Perfect tool for grating ginger, garlic, and small root vegetables. Choose from Spatula, Turtle or Crane. Only $40!
Made in Japan. Each style sold separately. Spatula grater measures 2.25 x 3.75″ (5 x 9 cm). Turtle grater measures 2.75 x 4″ (7 x 10 cm). Crane grater measures 3.25 x 3.75″ (8 x 9.5 cm).
